School Voluntary Donations
Ōhope Beach School does not qualify for government donation funding or free lunch programmes offered to some other schools in the area. For this reason, we ask for voluntary donations to support the wide range of programmes and opportunities we provide.
Your donation helps cover costs for live shows, Life Education, transport to and from events, Science Expo, sports uniforms, and sports subsidies. We greatly appreciate your support.
-
Donations can be paid term-by-term or as a lump sum.
-
You may also set up an automatic payment to spread the cost across the year.
-
Payments can be made via internet banking – please use “School Donation” as the reference and include your child’s name.

Emergency Procedures
Emergencies
Regular emergency drills are held so children know what to do in the event of a real emergency.
In an emergency (e.g. earthquake, fire, tsunami), children will remain in the care of their teachers and follow the school’s emergency procedures. If evacuation is required, such as in the case of a tsunami, students and staff will move together to the designated safe location on higher ground behind the school.
Children will stay under staff supervision until collected by their parent/caregiver, or by an authorised emergency contact if parents/caregivers are unavailable.
Emergency procedures are displayed in each learning space and reviewed regularly.
Communication in an emergency
In an emergency, parents will be kept informed through the School App, Seesaw and the website. Please follow any instructions provided, as this helps us keep everyone safe.
Accidents & Medical Emergencies
If a serious accident or illness occurs during school hours, appropriate action will be taken immediately and you will be contacted as soon as possible using the details you have provided.
In urgent situations, the school may need to consent to medical treatment on your behalf.
It is very important that you keep the school office updated with any changes to your contact details (e.g. mobile phone, address, email), and that your nominated emergency contacts are current and available if needed.
